Hello and Welcome,
My name is Anthony G. Rauseo. I've been a Call of Cthulhu gamer for going on five years. A short time, compared to some. It began with a small paper back of Lovecraft's work and a few spare dollars to spend at the local game store. Back then I was still in High School, still playing typical Dungeon and Dragons and World Of Darkness role playing games. The games we played followed the age-old formula of "kill it and take its stuff". It was fun, for a time. But all those innocent amusement do come to an end. When I brought the game to my group of friends they where both amused and frightened. My friend Max even refused to play the game afterwords. I've always had a mind for horror. Call of Cthulhu gave me a means to share it.
I've moved on sense then. Along the years I've gained new friends who share my love of Call of Cthulhu. Together we've played and run some of the most entertaining and frightening games I've ever had the pleasure to experience. As I've grown the game has grown with me, always allowing me to tread those dark forgotten realms in new and exciting ways.
In the coming months this Blog will become home to the chronicles of our small but strong gaming group as we begin new adventures in the worlds of H. P. Lovecraft and others. This Call of Cthulhu blog will chronicle our attempt to bring our own little bit of creative fun to the Cthulhu Mythos; hence the title. Truly we're walking in the shadows of some of the greatest story tellers in the world.
I'll display short game summaries, in-character journals, pictures, ideas, and any other mental knick-nacks that become involved in the gaming / Lovecraft aspects of our lives. You can expect updates concerning my new, as yet untitled Call of Cthulhu campaign, our forthcoming Halloween LARP, and updates from the field from Agent Jones of J Cell. Of course I hope people will come and read it. I love comments and discussions about all aspects of gaming, from the raw mechanics of our favorite systems to the social aspects of a gamer's life. So feel free to comment, dear readers, and I'll return in kind.
-Happy Gaming
